Seniors can find comfort in talking with a chaplain whether they are religious or not. The role of chaplains in senior living is an important one for seniors who are nearing the end of life and want religious or spiritual guidance. 

This Nursing Home Ministry provides social, emotional, and spiritual support to those in nursing homes.

Residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers are some of the most forgotten and neglected people of our day. They struggle with loneliness and separation from normal lifelong activities, such as involvement in their churches and the comfort it brings. Christians who are in nursing homes need the fellowship of other believers and the comfort of the Scriptures. Those without a relationship with Jesus Christ need the light and love that a believer can share through their faith. Many are looking for something of eternal value.

• Coordinating and leading faith-based group meetings
• Conduct one-on-one ministry with residents and staff
• Be on-call for end-of-life care
• Support family members and staff who have lost a loved one
• Help Arrange funeral services
• Provide religious or spiritual support 
  

We are also available to support the nurses and medical staff to help cope with the difficulties and stress of caring for seniors.

One of the often overlooked losses experienced by those who are long term residents of a Skilled Nursing Facility is the loss of a worshipping community. For many residents, church was a regular part of their weekly routine.

Each month, we reach out to the elderly in our community and show the love of Jesus in a practical way. Our nursing home outreach visits the residents of our local area nursing homes to sing songs, pray, and share the Word of God with them.
